For those, who are interested in research news, the name MOSAiC expediction sounds familiar. It is the shortcut for Multidisciplinary drifting Observstory for the Study of Arctic Climate and this name completly mirrors the complexity and diversity of this year-round expedition. Holder of this mission is the icebreaker RV Polarstern, drifting with the sea ice across the central Arctic from September 2019 to October 2020.
From EKOM point of view, the most fascinating on this project is a fact, that our compressor is a part of the emergency room at ship Polarstern. On 19th of August compass on a board of Polarstern showed exactly 90° N which means that our compressor was the first compressor ever on the Nort Pole! Nice story, right?
